Founded in 2019 by Theresa Henry and Gus Alvarez, Quality Health Partners provides Primary Care Quality Support Services helping primary care physicians achieve 5-star quality ratings by placing a clinical quality team in provider practices for the sole purpose of taking care of the administrative, documentation, and coding requirements to close quality gaps in care, capture Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCCs), and completing the Annual Wellness Visit for their patients. Clinical documentation is at the core of every patient encounter. We believe most primary care physicians are excellent doctors and realize their quality-of-care ratings may not reflect the work they do to keep their patients healthy. We understand that there are reasons beyond their control that can impact their quality scores and we have a model that focuses on demonstrating the hard work and quality outcomes primary care physicians achieve by giving health plans and medical groups what they need to measure quality and risk. From scheduling the AWV appointment to completion of the AWV, we take care of all the details that can take hours of your staff’s time. This allows our Provider partners to spend more time with their patients and less time with payer administrative requirements. Our goal is to give time back to independent primary care physicians so they can have a healthy work-life balance while maintaining their practice. Our Clinical Quality Team is comprised of specially trained licensed nurse practitioners, physician assistants, quality coordinator medical assistants, and triple certified coders (Certified Professional Coder (CPC®), Certified Outpatient Coding (COC™), and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC™). Our only focus is the Annual Wellness Visit, HCC capture and documentation, and closing quality gaps in care. Our team is efficient and effective in achieving exceptional results for our provider partners.
Founded in 2023 the Medical Magnet Foundation originated from the Alvarez Family’s commitment to education and their daughter’s impactful experience in the JSerra High School Medical Magnet Program, Project A – Pulse®. Founded and directed by Dr. Betty Cappelletti since 2010, the JSerra High School Medical Magnet Program, Project A – Pulse’s mission and vision is to offer high school students considering a career in the medical field a four-year course of studies. In addition to classroom instruction in advanced math, life, and health sciences the curriculum is combined with clinical knowledge provided by working professionals in a hospital setting at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills.
Classroom instruction is supplemented with lectures and observed operations by medical professionals along with hands-on procedures such as the Laerdal Body simulator, SimRated courses, Anatomage Table 10 and Autopsy.Online. These tools help educate and equip students with the skill-set necessary for multiple medical disciplines.
Eighty-eight percent of students who graduated from this challenging high school program are currently in universities, nursing schools, medical schools and/or medical facilities throughout the United States and abroad. These young, soon to be, healthcare professionals reported that the program along with their hospital experience was instrumental in enhancing their undergraduate studies.
Driven by a desire to contribute to medical education, the Alvarez family, with a background in successful medical companies, established the foundation. Gus Alvarez and Theresa Henry, witnessing the challenges faced by educational programs, initiated the foundation to support Dr. Betty Cappelletti’s Intellectual Property and ensure ongoing high-quality medical education provided by The foundation’s vision centers on empowering students to explore diverse paths in the medical field, fostering innovation in educational programs such as Project A- Pulse®, and enabling students to thrive academically and professionally.
